Reincarnation--The implications

I became aware of the absolute survival of the soul outside of our man body when I happened to wind up dying one night as a result of heart block(an electrical malfunction of the heart ). There I was looking in on myself yet fully conscious and aware. So that lit the fire in me to look into the whole process of how the afterlife might work.

 I was raised Christian with all of the highly defined beliefs regarding the afterlife. After I died I found out by researching other peoples NDE's(near death experiences) that mine was not unique in that I did not go to heaven, fly with angels, see god,etc. All though these many experiences that are documented on multiple web sights do not amount to any empirical evidence of the afterlife, the commonality of the experiences leads me to consider that there is a continuation of the soul. and it has a standard set of "rules" that govern the whole process.

In my research I found out about a man named Dr.Michael Newton who, over 40 years, preformed thousands of past and between life hypnotic regressions in his psychiatry practice. He documented all of these regression cases and published 4 separate books filled with many of these session transcripts. He was able to hypnotically regress people past their prior incarnations and between the incarnations as well. He was able to generate a fairly good picture of the spirit realms where we live as souls. The reason I suspect that Dr. Newton's research is valid is that allot of the information jives with my experience while out of body and case after case all had similar descriptions of the processes in the soul realms. He has thousands of duplicate cases all verifying what the other persons had observed.

So what I have come to is the thought that reincarnation is a process where the human soul is "installed" into a human infant with the goal of learning life lessons and balancing karmic issues. Since we are first eternal soul beings the lessons we learn as people are many times only relevant to us in the big picture and our experiences here in the physical earth realm are directed by our spirit guides that help direct our lives weather we know it or not.

An unbiased look into reincarnation.

It is my intent to look into the topic of reincarnation in an unbiased and open way. You are welcome to present your thoughts on the topic. I want to keep religious dogma out of this discussion. You are encouraged to present your religious interpretation of why reincarnation is valid or not but I believe that no one person can possibly have all of the "truth" and therefore please don't claim that you have some exclusive insight into this area. This is just a way to present all sides to the agrument that man is an eternal soul and one aspect of being an eternal soul is the ability and the need to reincarnate on a regular basis. I look forward to a lively and thought provoking discussion.
